What is the best way of changing in Europe with the best rate?
I will visit various countries in Europe and I do not know what you will the exchange rate better?? Should I go to Forex in my own country to exchange in advance? Or should I use my debit card to withdraw money from ATMs when I arrived to this particular country? Until now, I just know that if you use the ATM at the airport is not a good idea, and putting in traveler's checks do not provide the level of good either.
Why use an ATM at the airport a bad idea? I did that for 11 years. This is where I usually make my first withdrawal of a car or train ticket. You get the best fares using credit cards whenever possible and ATM card when you need cash. You must pay a fee ATM, but it is generally no worse than the Commission to change traveler's checks and you always get a better rate. Plus, ATMs are open 24 / 7, so you do not have to worry if you need cash on the weekends or holidays. Just be sure to call your credit card issuers and ATM before you go and tell them that you are traveling outside the country. Otherwise, their methods of fraud may flag suspicious transactions and your cards will be cut. You'll have no problem as long as you call. I ceased travelers checks 11 years ago and I did never failed.
